Endacopia fishing minigame with Mellow holding a rod and the reel visible on the right
The fishing view separates the rod from the reel, which you control with a circular mouse motion. Screenshot: AndyLand, via the official Endacopia Steam page.

Basic fishing controls

  1. Obtain the fishing license during the Timesville route.
  2. Interact with the fishing pole at the water.
  3. When the minigame begins, move the mouse in a steady circle around the reel.
  4. Watch the pull indicator rather than the hands or the fish.
  5. Keep reeling smoothly so the indicator does not get forced to the edge.
  6. Once the catch completes, repeat until the current time slot stops producing anything new.

The important part is the shape and consistency of the mouse movement. Extremely small or frantic circles can stop registering cleanly. Use a slightly wider circle and maintain an even pace.

What to do when a fish pulls too hard

Some catches push the indicator much faster than the common fish. Do not respond by shaking the mouse or changing direction repeatedly. Begin a clean circular motion as soon as the fish starts pulling and keep it continuous.

If the reel still feels unresponsive, open the game configuration before launch and reduce the mouse sensitivity under the advanced options. A Steam guide comment reports that sensitivity adjustment makes the minigame substantially easier. Change it in small increments so normal point-and-click movement remains comfortable.

All 18 Fish in Endacopia

The clock has six relevant positions: three during the day and three at night. Each position has a pool of three required catches.

Time slot Required catches
Day 1 Nautilus, Colisa Lalia, Jantic Fish
Day 2 Peter Panini, Seahorse, Singin’ Fish
Day 3 Eel, Reddest Fish Ever, Sea Man
Night 1 Pirate, Skele-Fish, RC Ship
Night 2 Crab, Starfish, Big Worm
Night 3 Drawing of a Fish, Jelly, Crate

If one fish refuses to appear, first check whether you are at the correct clock position. There are three catches per slot, not three for the whole day and three for the whole night.

Where do you catch Jantic Fish?

Jantic Fish belongs to the Day 1 pool with Nautilus and Colisa Lalia. Set the clock to the first daytime position and keep fishing until that slot has produced all three catches before moving to another time.

How to unlock I Want To Be A Fisherman

Catch all 18 entries in the table, then exit the fishing interaction. The achievement may not appear while Mellow is still holding the pole.

The blurred ??? catch is an optional scare. Community documentation agrees that it does not count toward the achievement or aquarium checklist.

Where do you use the old key from the fishing paper?

The old key opens the hidden lock in the smaller of the two matching rooms on the Timesville waterfall route. The lock only appears while Endacopia is running in windowed mode.

  1. Use the metal detector on the beach to find the fishing paper.
  2. Catch all 18 required fish, then inspect the paper again to receive the old key (called the Lost Key in some community guides).
  3. Open the waterfall route and complete the shared-room puzzle between the two matching rooms.
  4. Return to the smaller matching room after that puzzle is complete.
  5. Press Alt + Enter to switch Endacopia to windowed mode, then leave and re-enter the room if the view does not update immediately.
  6. The black opening is replaced by a large lock or safe. Use the old key on it.
  7. Continue through the memory and graveyard sequence to complete the Timesville secret.

The key is not required for I Want To Be A Fisherman. It is one of the three secret-area requirements for Ending C.

Verification notes

The six time pools, fish names, achievement trigger and optional ??? catch are documented in penguinleader911’s current All Fish Steam guide. Reports from players who completed every achievement independently confirm that there are three fish per clock position. Reel difficulty and mouse sensitivity can vary by setup, so the movement advice is presented as a practical community-tested method rather than an official input specification.

The old-key route is separately documented in Viri’s Timesville Secret Puzzle guide and in independent Ending C completion reports. The windowed-mode lock is an intentional puzzle state, not a missing texture or softlock.

For another timing challenge, see how to kick the soccer ball. Return to the puzzle solutions index for the operation and clown puzzles.
